A Brief History of the Aliquippa, Pennsylvania Branch
by Branch Historian, Janet Gibson

The Aliquippa, Pennsylvania Branch began with the baptisms of the late Brother Philip and Sister Rose Mileco on March 14, 1920 at Youngstown, OH.  Their contact with The Church of Jesus Christ came about through several of their relations who had recently been baptized into the Gospel.   In due course, Brother Mileco was ordained as an Elder and later held services in his home.  Over time, a few visitors were baptized.
  • In 1924, a home was purchased and remodeled to serve as our first place of worship.
  • In 1944, the church purchased a large one-story brick building on Main Avenue that served us well for nearly 14 years.
  • In 1957, we sold the structure and built our present church building in Hopewell Township.
We rejoice that, as a Branch of The Church of Jesus Christ, the Lord has richly blessed us.  There have been many  experiences, healings, and blessings since the beginning of our Mission in the 1920s. We trust that the Lord will prosper His Church everywhere until His will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven.
